In this wide-ranging role, the successful individual will work closely with the Head of Business Operations and the Marketing and Communications Manager. Tasks will include the administration of financial accounts, marketing, communications, governance, information technology, stakeholder relationships, office management and events, all of which play a vital role in ensuring that the organisation can maintain its excellent reputation and meet its strategic goals.

The individual will be heavily involved in planning for Sport Resolutions’ events, including its annual conference. They will help in promoting Sport Resolutions’ services and key messages and will offer administrative support to the case management team as and when required.

The successful individual will develop the skills and experience to take on greater responsibility, deputising for the Head of Business Operations and for the Marketing and Communications Manager. This role will report jointly to the Head of Business Operations and the Marketing and Communications Manager, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across operational and marketing functions.

Suitable applicants may have experience of working in a business, sales, IT or marketing role. However, of greater importance are the personal characteristics and drive of the individual. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and diligent. They will be a team player who is able to multi-task, they will have excellent customer service skills, and they will have a passion for sport and integrity. The successful applicant will have the ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner and will have experience of using Microsoft applications. A high level of oral and written communication skills is required, along with first-rate attention to detail.

Sport Resolutions

Sport Resolutions has established itself as the independent dispute resolution service of choice for sport. Its skilled and motivated case team appoint individuals from an expert and diverse panel of approximately 350 individuals to cases such as anti-doping referrals, safeguarding investigations, vetting procedures, selection disputes and contract-based arbitrations. Sport Resolutions’ clients include National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and International Federations such as World Athletics, the International Tennis Federation, the Commonwealth Games, and the International Testing Agency.

The organisation administers the International Hearing Panel, which adjudicates on anti-doping rule violations, the Safeguarding Case Management Programme (SCMP), which provides UK NGBs with access to expert safeguarding and legal support; Sport Integrity, an independent disclosure and complaints service for Olympic and Paralympic sport; and the National Anti-Doping Panel, which is responsible for adjudicating anti-doping disputes in the UK.

The organisation also hosts a series of in-person events and webinars to assist in upskilling the sector and promoting sports integrity. In 2024, Sport Resolutions’ Annual Conference was attended by over 300 individuals from the legal and sports sectors.

Location

Sport Resolutions’ office is located at St Paul’s, London.

Employees are currently required to work in the office a minimum of eight days per month.

Person Specification

Essential

  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of written English.
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work accurately, as part of a team and individually, paying great attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
  • Experience in using Windows-based software applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Desirable

  • A post graduate business or marketing qualification.
  • Financial administration and accounts experience.
  • Event management experience.
  • Knowledge of IT platforms.
  • Experience in content creation and marketing campaigns.
  • Project or programme management skills and experience.
  • A good knowledge and/or experience of the structure of sport in the UK, in particular the governing body sector.
  • An interest and enthusiasm for sport.
