An Update on the Sport Resolutions Annual Conference

In the light of ongoing developments resulting from the coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the Sport Resolutions Annual Conference in association with Winston & Strawn LLP until a future date.

Our highest priority at Sport Resolutions is to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and staff, and therefore we are stepping up our efforts to minimise the risk.

We are closely monitoring how the coronavirus pandemic develops across the globe and, depending on developments, we hope to be able to accommodate our annual conference in autumn 2020.

We are doing our best to find alternative dates and will be announcing a new conference date in due course. In the meantime, if you are a delegate, you can;

keep your ticket(s) until we announce the new date for our conference. Please note that you will be given plenty of time to request a full refund once the new date has been announced; or
request a refund now on Eventbrite and your ticket(s) will be refunded within 7 working days. (Please log into your account and click ‘Tickets’ to find your order).

Tickets

We are very pleased to be able to keep the ticket prices the same as last year, despite rising costs and high inflation rates that have been well documented.

Early Bird Tickets are priced at £310.00 exc. of VAT and will be available until 23:30 Monday 24 February 2020.

Standard Tickets are priced at £365.00 exc. of VAT and will be available on Tuesday 25 February 2020 until the event day.

Students in full-time education have the opportunity to attend the conference for the discounted price of £80.00 exc. of VAT with our Academic Ticket (student ID or email address required).

Our Group Ticket permits three tickets to be purchased for the price of two standard price tickets (which works out as £243.33 exc. of VAT per ticket). Please note that this offer is only applicable to standard ticket prices and all three attendees must be from the same organisation.

Award-winning broadcaster can be found on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC News, where she is best-known as a presenter on BBC Breakfast & BBC Sport. Originally from Co. Down in Northern Ireland, she has spent over a decade working on some of the UK’s biggest television networks.

As one of BBC Breakfast’s most energetic presenters, Holly’s career has taken her from the famous red sofa to the green grass courts of Wimbledon where she’s been part of the BBC’s coverage from the All England Club over the past two years, presented live from the red carpet of BBC Sports Personality of the Year and anchored BBC Sports day from a number of exciting venues across the country.

Away from sport, Holly is the presenter for BBC holiday series, Getaways and is a familiar face across BBC Northern Ireland. In 2019, she fronted NI’s Children in Need live show, hosted Open for Summer from The Open in Portrush alongside Colin Murray and became the first woman to host long running comedy panel series The Blame Game.

Despite her Irish roots, Holly Hamilton’s career began in Scotland where she worked for Scottish Television (STV) for several years and was part of the original news broadcast team on the channel’s flagship political programme Scotland Tonight. She also worked as News and Sport Editor for Downtown Radio and Cool FM where she was part of the Breakfast show voted Radio Show of the Year”(CIPR Awards).

Jack is Professor of Sports Law at the University of Melbourne. He has written extensively on the topic of sports law and acted as a UNODC consultant on safeguarding in sport.

Jack is an accredited workplace mediator, Chartered Arbitrator and solicitor. Previously, Jack served as an arbitrator on the international panel for Sport Resolutions, the World Athletics’ Disciplinary Tribunal and CAS. He was also a legal counsel at Racing Victoria. He is currently a member of the International Hockey Federation’s Integrity Unit and the Asia Racing Federations’ Council on Illegal Betting.

Jack is an arbitrator for Football Australia on employment disputes and, at community level in Melbourne, he is a disciplinary tribunal member for the Yarra Junior Football League and a volunteer at Yarra hockey club.

Jack writes a sports law column for a national newspaper (the Examiner) in Ireland, which is, and will always be, home. He became a Board member of Sport Resolutions in September 2024.

Travis T. Tygart has worked with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for more than 15 years and became USADA’s Chief Executive Officer in September of 2007. As CEO, Tygart works closely with the USADA Board of Directors to carry out the organization’s mission of preserving the integrity of competition, inspiring true sport, and protecting the rights of clean athletes. Tygart has also reached out and made himself available to many Olympic athletes, embracing them as an essential part of the fight against doping.

Under Tygart’s leadership, some of USADA’s most significant efforts to protect clean athletes have come in the form of major investigations. Working alongside federal authorities, USADA investigated the international steroid bust, Operation Raw Deal, and the international doping conspiracy involving the BALCO laboratory in San Francisco. Tygart also led the investigation into the U.S. Postal Service pro-cycling team doping conspiracy and spearheaded the publication of the Reasoned Decision in the Lance Armstrong case.

Tygart’s tenure as CEO also produced the groundbreaking research on the importance of true sport: “What Sport Means in America,” and the “TrueSport Report.”
