Sport Resolutions to support the Sports Arbitration Moot (SAM) for its third edition

Sport Resolutions to support the Sports Arbitration Moot (SAM) for its third edition

We are delighted to announce that Sport Resolutions will be supporting the Sports Arbitration Moot which aims to introduce sports arbitration to the next generation of arbitration practitioners.

The Sports Arbitration Moot provides university students worldwide with a unique opportunity to practice their advocacy skills and learn about the stimulating field of sports arbitration.

Sport Resolutions has partnered with the SAM to strive towards their goal of bringing together students from all over the world, with different legal backgrounds and cultures and assisting them to refine their pleading skills and discover the world of sports law and arbitration.

In addition to other benefits, Sport Resolutions will be providing mentorship to the SAM’s Best Oralist prize winner over a 6-month period to identify his/her goals, to facilitate introductions in the sector and to provide guidance for his/her career path.

Catherine Pitre said “We are very happy to collaborate with the SAM and we look forward to contributing to the growth and training of future sports law practitioners in line with our education strategy. At Sport Resolutions one of our aims is to educate tomorrow's leaders to better equip them to tackle challenges in the sport sector, in alignment with our values of independence, integrity and transparency."

Giulio Palermo from the SAM Organization said “We try to create opportunities for both mooties and firms involved, opening the door to brilliant students who might have been interested in sports law but would not have an opportunity to enter the sector without a project like the SAM. A collaboration with Sport Resolutions is therefore a crucial milestone in achieving our objective of creating a level-playing field for the students and offer them the tools to succeed in the dynamic and ever-evolving of sports arbitration.”

Early bird registrations for the third edition of the Sport Arbitration Moot are open until 30 October 2023. The full agenda and further information can be seen here
