We are delighted to announce that Sport Resolutions (SR) will be assisting the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) in operating an ad hoc panel of the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal for the duration of the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA.

SR has populated, and will administer, an ad-hoc Disciplinary Tribunal panel that will be available from July 15th to 24th to determine expedited matters arising out of the Championships.

As well as the ad hoc panel of the Disciplinary Tribunal, members of Sport Resolutions’ Pro Bono Legal Advice & Representation Service will be available during and shortly before the Championships in Oregon. Our services will be available in both English and French, should any matters arise.

SR has been acting as secretariat to the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal since the AIU’s  inauguration in 2017. The AIU works independently of World Athletics and oversees the sport’s integrity issues.

The 2022 World Athletics Championships will take place in Oregon, USA between 15th and 24th July. The event will mark the first time the USA hosts the most prestigious event in the sport.

Chief Executive, Richard Harry said: “We are delighted to be working with World Athletics once again after assisting them with the operation of the Disciplinary Tribunal during the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha. At Sport Resolutions our mission is to provide independent, efficient and accessible dispute resolution services to everyone involved in sport. At the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, we will deliver both impartiality and solid expertise through carefully selected arbitrators and the support of the Sport Resolutions Secretariat. Our involvement will ensure that any process will be independently administered, transparent and fair.”
