Hyperandrogenism

Sport Resolutions will explore the medical condition of Hyperandrogenism in detail, and will review how athletes with the condition have been treated by their international federations.

The seminar aims to address the following aspects:

In-depth understanding of the biological background to this medical condition.
An overview of recent case law, including the significant cases of professional sprinter Dutee Chand and 2016 Olympic gold medallist Caster Semenya.

Lydia was a member of the panel which recommended reform of the PFA on the departure of Gordon Taylor (2019-20). She has also conducted a number of investigations into allegations raised against various winter and summer Olympic disciplines. Concerns covered include governance, safeguarding and allegations of cheating.  Lydia is an independent panellist for Sport Resolutions and British Shooting.
